In a defense with the likes of linebacker Von Millergrabbing headlines and sacking quarterbacks at almost every prime-time turn, some things might get caught and pushed aside in the jet wash of all that.
One of those things is that Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward might be closing in on a slice of franchise history if he continues at his current, rather furious pace. He at least will put himself in some high-quality company with what he has done this season.

NFL players will have the chance to share the causes that are important to them during all Week 13 games, as part of the NFL’s My Cause, My Cleats campaign. The initiative is a culmination of 18 months of collaborative work between the NFL and players across the league, and it includes an online storytelling platform, in partnership with The Players’ Tribune. Throughout the season, participating players have worked with The Players’ Tribune to tell the stories behind their cleats via long-form features and profile cards.
TJ Ward has been named a 2016 Defensive Captain of the Denver Broncos.
TJ will serve as Captain along with fellow defensive man DeMarcus Ware and other teammates Demaryius Thomas, Kayvon Webster, Trevor Siemian, and Dekoda Watson.
Safety doesn’t quite define all that T.J. Ward does for the Broncos. He’s one of the NFL’s best run stopping players at his position. He’s a solid cover man against tight ends and running backs. And increasingly he’s become a menace for opposing quarterbacks with his pass rush.
After his huge game Sunday in an 27-19 victory over San Diego, Ward joked that he’s fine with a position name change if it comes with a few more dollars. No matter the position, he’s playing the best football of his career at age 29.
Super Bowl Champion, TJ Ward, is ready to enter his seventh year into the National Football League and still has the time to make sure he makes an imprint in the community. The celebrity golf event is closed to the public for spectating and only open to the athletes invited, sponsors bought in, and registrants that are pre-paid. Denver Broncos Pro Bowl safety T.J. Ward has announced Miles “Rampage” Taylor as the October’s “Boss of the Month” winner. Miles has a terminal illness called Menkes disease and his parents were informed that he would not live past the age of two. He just celebrated his 5th birthday watching his Broncos win! Miles pays it forward by spreading awareness of his rare disease and has successfully been attributed with having three other kids properly diagnosed because doctors had seen Miles and his website and were more aware of the rare disease Menkes.
